Elizabeth Knox

I graduated from Martin Luther College in 2016 with a double major in early childhood and elementary education. I have had a wide range of experience, from infants all the way to 4th grade. I love being around children and seeing them grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

As a teacher, my goal is to help children love learning and love their Savior. I strive to provide developmentally appropriate activities that allow for choice, exploration, play, curiosity, and discovery. Children are capable of rising to the challenge, so I hold them to high academic and behavioral expectations. It is also my goal to share God’s Word with them and allow the Holy Spirit to work through me. I feel truly blessed to have this opportunity to serve here at Living Savior!

I have been an educator most of my life. I taught elementary school for 27 years, 18 of which were spent in kindergarten. During those years I instituted a gifted education program in our school and earned a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have conducted numerous workshops for teachers of early childhood age children and can think of nothing I would rather do than teach.

My passion for education is eclipsed by my passion for working with young children. I love their energy and enthusiasm; and the challenges of helping them learn and grow in a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment is what I love most. I believe all children have the capability to learn given opportunities consistent with their individual learning styles and interests. It is my goal to provide an atmosphere filled with active learning and a sense of wonder while sharing the love of Jesus with his precious little lambs. My husband and two grown daughters tell me that this is where I belong and I am excited for the adventure.
